GHS/OCD Host First Aid/CPR Awareness and Training Opportunities

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the Guam Fire Department (GFD) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Training Division, will host the following opportunities as part of the National Preparedness Month initiative:

 

  • Community First Aid/CPR Awareness Training: Wednesday, September 11, 2019, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    1. The course is an awareness level course, only, offered at no cost to eligible participants and is intended to provide an introductory overview of First Aid and CPR. Attendees for the course include emergency management personnel and community volunteers from the government of Guam, federal, military, private, and non-profit organizations. 
  • First Aid & CPR Training: Friday, September 20, 2019, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    1. The course is offered for $42 per person and is intended to provide attendees an understanding of first aid in order to help those in need. Attendees will learn how to respond to specific situations, which will help care for people in crisis as they wait for medical professionals to arrive. Attendees for the course include emergency management personnel and community volunteers from the government of Guam, federal, military, private, and non-profit organizations.
