GHS/OCD Host Personal Protective Equipment - Mission Specific Competencies Training

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the Counterterrorism Operations Support (CTOS) – Center for Radiological/Nuclear Training, will host the “Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Mission Specific Competencies” PER-347 course at the GHS/OCD facility in Agana Heights. The eight-hour course is offered twice:

  • Friday, April 6, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 12, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The course is offered at no cost to eligible participants and demonstrates the use of essential PPE for response mission operations involving Hazardous Materials (HazMat), provides an in-depth inspection of available PPE including determining uses and proper hazard based PPE selection.

Attendees for the courses include first responders and emergency management personnel from the Government of Guam, federal, military, private, and non-profit organizations.
