GHS/OCD Host Readiness: Training Identification and Preparedness Planning

GHS/OCD Host Readiness: Training Identification and Preparedness Planning

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), will host the Readiness: Training Identification and Preparedness Planning (MGT-418) training from April 30 to May 1, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the GHS/OCD facility, Agana Heights.

The two day course instruction covers creating effective training plans through organizational collaboration establishing a whole community approach. With the jurisdictional training assessment process, the integrated assessment team creates a jurisdictional profile and evaluates the ability to fully implement Emergency Operation Plans. Training gaps will be identified and cataloged. Methods for closing training gaps will be prioritized, with improvement plans developed, and courses of action identified. Through the procedure, organizational collaboration will be increased.

Attendees for the course include emergency management and emergency response personnel from the Government of Guam, federal, military, private, and non-profit organizations.
