JIC RELEASE NO. 216 - Cumulative Results: Two Test Positive for COVID-19; Profiles of Confirmed Cases; COVID-19 Testing Available Wednesday in Dededo

COVID-19 test results are reported from multiple labs at varying times of the day. The Joint Information Center will report cumulative COVID-19 test results that are officially reported to the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) as well as lab results from the DPHSS Guam Public Health Laboratory (GHPL) once a day.

DPHSS tested 165 individuals for COVID-19 on Monday, July 6, 2020 with conclusive results. One tested positive through DPHSS and 164 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. The case reported recent travel to the continental US. 

One additional case tested positive at Diagnostic Laboratory Services (DLS).

To date, there have been a total of 303 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 5 deaths, 184 released from isolation, and 114 active cases. Of those cases, 257 are classified as civilians and 46 are military service members.

COVID-19 Testing Available Wednesday in Dededo

DPHSS, in collaboration with the Government of Guam, the Mayors Council of Guam, private, and federal agencies, continues expanded COVID-19 testing. 

 

Testing is free and open to the public while supplies last. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Please bring an I.D., if one is available. The expanded testing schedule is as follows:

 

COVID-19 Drive-Through and Walk-In Testing:

  • Wednesday, July 8, 2020, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the Astumbo Gym in Dededo
