Results: 15 New Cases of COVID-19
Fifteen (15) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 506 tests performed on Tuesday, January 12. Three (3) cases were identified through contact tracing. Two (2) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine. 

To date, there have been a total of 7,444 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 124 deaths, 112 cases in active isolation and 7,208 not in active isolation.

Community Testing Tomorrow at Yona Gym
DPHSS, in collaboration with the Mayors’ Council of Guam, Guam National Guard, Department of Public Works, Guam Police Department, Guam Fire Department, University of Guam School of Nursing and Health Sciences, and other GovGuam and Federal Agencies, resumes COVID-19 community testing on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at the Yona Gym from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

DPHSS will offer up to 250 COVID-19 tests on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are reminded that this event is only a COVID-19 community testing and NO VACCINATIONS will be offered at this location.

For the safety of the community and the nurses, only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Please bring a picture ID.

The Northern Region Community Health Center (NRCHC) will remain open for COVID-19 testing by appointment only and can be contacted by calling 635-7525/6.


DRT Suspends Some Services Due to Confirmed Case of COVID-19 
Due to a positive case of COVID-19 among one of its staffers, the Department of Revenue and Taxation (DRT) announces the temporary suspension of services for its administration office effective immediately. 

Close contacts are being identified and will remain in home quarantine pending testing and clearance from DPHSS. Areas of the offices will be cleaned and disinfected as needed. For more information on DRT services, visit myguamtax.com.


Two Firefighters Test Positive for COVID-19
The Guam Fire Department confirms two firefighters assigned to the Astumbo Fire Station tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, the remaining personnel at the Astumbo Fire Station have been quarantined until they can be tested. Pending test results, an alternate crew has been assigned to ensure the continuity of response operations. A thorough decontamination of all rooms and common areas has been completed.
