JIC Release No. 737 - DPHSS Issues Guidance Memo 2021-18

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) issued DPHSS Guidance Memo 2021-18, relative to additional guidance pursuant to Governor Leon Guerrero’s Executive Order 2021-16, relative to authorized businesses and services during Pandemic Condition of Readiness 3 (PCOR 3) as Guam officially achieved its vaccination goal of eighty percent (80%) of its adult population.
   

JIC Release NO. 735 - Eight of 397 Test Positive for COVID-19; UPDATED: COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; Food Commodities Distribution Continues

Eight (8) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 397 tests performed on July 27. Four (4) cases were identified through contact tracing. To date, there have been a total of 8,522 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 143 deaths, 54 cases in active isolation, and 8,325 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.2. 
   

JIC Release NO. 734 - Eight of 518 Test Positive for COVID-19; UPDATED: COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; Food Commodities Distribution Continues

Eight (8) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 518 tests performed on July 26. To date, there have been a total of 8,514 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 143 deaths, 52 cases in active isolation, and 8,319 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.3. 
   

JIC Release NO. 733 - Five of 705 Test Positive for COVID-19; UPDATED: COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; Food Commodities Distribution Continues

Five (5) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 705 tests performed July 23 – 25. One (1) case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine. To date, there have been a total of 8,506 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 143 deaths, 44 cases in active isolation, and 8,319 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.2. 
   

High Surf Advisory in Effect for the Marianas; Inexperienced Swimmers Should Remain Out of the Water

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office maintains a high surf advisory in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan through Tuesday afternoon. Increasing westerly monsoon swell will cause surf to continue building along west facing reefs. Hazardous surf is expected at Saipan and Tinian this morning, then at Guam and Rota this afternoon or evening.
