Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution in Heavy Rain

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect until 10 p.m. this evening. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, resulting in minor flooding.

Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, resulting in minor flooding.

Between 1 and 2.2 inches of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, resulting in minor flooding.
   

All Clear Issued for Possible IED

The All Clear was issued at 1:00 p.m. for the safe retrieval of a WWII hand grenade, resembling an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The IED has been confirmed as non-threatening and its extraction will now proceed accordingly at Ironwood Estates, Dededo.
   

Possible IED Reported

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) were notified by Guam Fire Dispatch of a possible Improvised Explosive Device (IED) located at Ironwood Estates, Dededo. The location is an unoccupied dwelling and the surrounding residences are sheltering in place. There are no road closures at this time. 
   

Strong Wind No Longer Expected

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office continues to monitor what was formerly known as Invest 93W, since upgraded to Tropical Storm Haikui, which was originally forecast to have some effect on the Marianas along with the monsoon flow.
