Earthquake Recorded

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.0 that struck 32 km NE of Yigo Village, Guam, with a depth of 120.9 km, at 11:01 p.m. (ChST).
 

2023 Service Learning, Youth and Community Preparedness Summit

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in collaboration with the Guam Department of Education (GDOE), the Guam Youth Preparedness Program, the Guam Service Learning Committee, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), will host the 2023 Service Learning, Youth and Community Preparedness Summit, January 25-27, 2023:
 
   

Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution in Heavy Rain

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect for Guam until 11:30 a.m. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain has already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.5 inches are expected, resulting in minor flooding.
