No Tsunami Threat to Guam or the Marianas from Alaska Earthquake

The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 8.2 that struck 278 km SE of Kodiak, Alaska at a depth of 10.0 km at 7:31 p.m. (ChST).

As reported by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is no tsunami threat to Guam or the Marianas from the earthquake.

This will be the only statement issued, unless additional information is received.
