GHS/OCD, JRM, NBG, and AAFB to Conduct Routine Testing of Advanced Warning Systems

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), Joint Region Marianas (JRM), U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG), and Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) will conduct routine testing of the vital communication and advance warning system sirens, respectively, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, starting at 3:15 p.m.

GHS/OCD will test the nineteen (19) All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) sirens in conjunction with JRM, NBG, and AAFB monthly routine testing of the “Giant Voice (GV)” sirens.

Results: 15 Cases of COVID-19
Fifteen (15) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 339 tests performed on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Ten (10) cases were identified through contact tracing.

To date, there have been a total of 7,308 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 121 deaths, 169 cases in active isolation and 7,018 not in active isolation.

Results: Twelve New Cases of COVID-19

Twelve (12) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 358 tests performed on Monday, December 28, 2020. Eleven (11) cases were identified through contact tracing.

To date, there have been a total of 7,293 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 121 deaths, 218 cases in active isolation and 6,954 not in active isolation.

Results: 11 New Cases of COVID-19
Eleven (11) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 559 tests performed by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) on Sunday, December 27, 2020, and tests from additional labs from Friday, December 24 to Sunday, December 27. Two (2) cases were identified through contact tracing. Two (2) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine.

One (1) new case of COVID-19 was identified out of 94 tests performed on Saturday, December 26, 2020. 

To date, there have been a total of 7,270 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 121 deaths, 406 cases in active isolation and 6,743 not in active isolation.

One (1) new case of COVID-19 was identified out of 62 tests performed on Friday, December 25, 2020. 

To date, there have been a total of 7,269 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 121 deaths, 405 cases in active isolation and 6,743 not in active isolation.

Results: 9 New Cases of COVID-19

Nine (9) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 303 tests performed on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. One (1) case was identified through contact tracing. 

 

To date, there have been a total of 7,266 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 121 deaths, 402 cases in active isolation and 6,743 not in active isolation.

JIC RELEASE NO. 507 - DPHSS COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Monday, December 28 – Wednesday, December 30;DPHSS Issues Guidance Memo 2020-47

At the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and in consultation with the Vaccine and Antiviral Prioritization Policy Committee (VAPPC), the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) will now include elderly adults ages 75 years and older in the Phase 1b priority group to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this population is at the highest risk for COVID-19-related hospitalization and death.
