NWS Issues Short Term Forecast; Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a short term forecast for Guam. Through 3 p.m., brief thunderstorms will produce moderate to heavy showers over Guam. Between a half inch of rain and lower visibility is expected in these thunderstorms.

If driving, be alert for lower visibility and ponding of water on the roadways.

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) advise residents and visitors to practice extreme caution while traveling in rainy conditions, driving below the speed limit and allowing enough braking distance between vehicles.
