Small Craft Advisory in Effect at Midnight Tonight through Monday Morning

The National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a small craft advisory, in effect for Guam from midnight tonight to 6 a.m. Monday.

South winds of 10 to 20 kt, building to between 20 and 25 kt, are expected Sunday morning. Occasional gusts of 30 kt and choppy seas between 5 and 8 feet are also expected for the coastal waters of the Marianas. The largest seas are likely near Guam. Reduced visibility is likely at times due to waves of heavy showers.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in these conditions.
