Small Craft Advisory Remains in Effect; Stay Out of Hazardous Seas

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a small craft advisory for the coastal waters of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan, in effect until 6 p.m. this evening.

East winds of 15 to 25 knots and seas of 7 to 9 feet are expected along the coastal waters of the Marianas. Seas will approach 10 feet at times, mainly east of the islands. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) advise the community to avoid hazardous seas.
