Typhoon Mangkhut Recovery: Green Waste temporary sites extended to October 5

Typhoon Mangkhut Recovery: Green Waste temporary sites extended to October 5

No Illegal Dumping
Violations of illegal dumping can result in fines of up to $1,000.00 per day per violation per Section 10 GCA Chapter 51.

Burning green waste

The Guam Fire Department permitted open burning of green waste. Residents can get a permit at any Guam Fired Department fire station. Burning must be done near a water source, such as a garden hose. Open burning of green waste is temporary.

Green Waste

The temporary green waste debris sites have been extended to Friday, October 5, 2018.

Residents are advised to bring GREEN WASTE DEBRIS ONLY to their respective village mayors’ offices designated debris staging area. Debris staging sites will be open daily from now through October 5, Monday to Sunday, between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. At this time, there are no other designated public debris dumping sites other than sites identified by your respective village mayor.

The community is advised not to leave any recently cleared debris on the side of the roadways. The major thoroughfares have already been cleared from Typhoon Mangkhut. New debris added on the roadways and in water passages can cause drainage and flooding issues.

Residents must complete a Debris Waste Form, available at your Mayor’s Office. Prior to disposal a site monitor will be at every site and will inspect debris to ensure it is only GREEN WASTE. There will be no curbside pick-up of green waste. Residents must bring their green waste to a temporary green waste site listed below:
