The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 that struck 33 km ESE of Inarajan Village, Guam, with a depth of 45.8 km, at 6:04 p.m. (ChST). 

Thunderstorm Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a thunderstorm advisory, in effect for the Guam International Airport until 4:30 p.m. this afternoon. Thunderstorms are possible or occurring within 20 nautical miles of the airport. Be alert and take precautions as required.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 that struck 274 km SSW of Merizo Village, Guam, with a depth of 10.0 km, at 7:10 a.m. (ChST).
   

Volcanic Haze Advisory in Effect through Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a volcanic haze advisory, in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan through Wednesday morning. A band of haze is reaching the Marianas along easterly trade-wind flow from the Hawaii region, likely originating from the recent Kilauea activity from September 10 – 16. Depending on winds around the Marianas, the density of haze will be variable the next few days.
