Guam sending recovery assistance to CNMI

Hagåtña – The Calvo Tenorio administration has been working with federal and military partners, as well as with local agencies to extend assistance to the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands to assist with their recovery efforts following Super Typhoon Yutu's devastation.

Stay Out of the Waters; Hazardous Seas are Life Threatening

As Super Typhoon Yutu continues to move further away from the Marianas, hazardous sea conditions remain. The National Weather Service (NWS) – Guam Weather Forecast Office advised large northwest swell from Super Typhoon Yutu will continue to produce dangerous surf today and hazardous surf tonight through Saturday.

Preliminary Damage Assessments Underway After Typhoon Yutu

Pursuant to the Guam Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, the Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) and other Government of Guam (GovGuam) support agencies have begun conducting an island-wide Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) following the passage of Typhoon Yutu that affected Guam between October 24 - 25, 2018.
