The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will conduct the following events at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort:
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG), and Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) will conduct routine testing of the vital communication and advance warning system sirens, respectively, on Tuesday, May 7, starting at 3:15 p.m.
GHS/OCD will test the All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) from seventeen (17) locations in conjunction with NBG and AAFB monthly routine testing of the “Giant Voice (GV).”
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC), will host the Tsunami Awareness (AWR-217) training on April 30, 2019 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the GHS/OCD facility, Agana Heights.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the University of Guam (UOG) Regional Center for Public Policy and the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech), will host multiple training opportunities. All classes will be held in Rm. 129 of the UOG School of Business and Public Administration Building.
